This "Privacy Policy" governs the processing of your personal data by the data controller: Alfa-Zet Systems, with registered office at Bedrijfsstraat 2, 3500 Hasselt and registered in the K.B.O. under number 0459.019.638 (hereinafter: "Alfa-Zet Systems"). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully, as it contains essential information about how your personal data is processed and which cookies are used. By providing your personal data on the website and by providing personal data to the email addresses mentioned on this website, you declare that you have taken note of this Privacy Policy and you also expressly agree to it, as well as to the processing itself.

Article 1 – General

  1. Alfa-Zet Systems complies with the anti-spam provisions from Book XII of the Economic Law Code regarding the "right of the electronic economy".
  2. Alfa-Zet Systems also complies with European Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 concerning the protection of personal data through this Privacy Policy.
  3. The data controller for your personal data is Alfa-Zet Systems. A declaration has been made to the Commission for the Protection of Personal Privacy regarding the processing of your personal data.

Article 2 – Personal Data

2.1. Personal data that you provide to us:

  • Category 1: without registration: your IP address;
  • Category 2: filling in forms or placing an order without registration: all fields in the form, as well as your IP address;
  • Category 3: upon registration: all fields in the form, as well as your IP address and password;
  • Category 4: via cookies.

2.2. Alfa-Zet Systems can collect data from you (Personal Data) in various ways:

a. through the use of cookies (see below);

b. during your registration and use of the Website;

2.3. The Website also uses cookies that collect a number of personal data. For the provisions regarding the use of cookies, see article 8.

Article 3 – Purposes of Processing

3.1. General purposes:

Alfa-Zet Systems will use the Personal Data collected from you exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Category 1: maintaining and improving this Website and including Personal Data in anonymous statistics, from which the identity of specific persons or companies cannot be determined, with the legal basis being the legitimate interests of Alfa-Zet Systems to continuously improve its Website and services;
  • Category 2: managing your account on this Website with a view to using our Alfa-Zet Systems and website, with the legal basis being the performance of a contract requested by you, and, if indicated by you, also sending direct marketing, with the legal basis being your explicit, prior consent;
  • Category 3: sending you direct marketing, newsletters, actions and promotions, with the legal basis being your explicit, prior consent;
  • Category 4: improving user experience and statistical purposes (see further) with the legal basis being your explicit, prior consent;

In the event of a complete or partial reorganization or transfer of activities of Alfa-Zet Systems, where it reorganizes, transfers, discontinues its business activities or if Alfa-Zet Systems goes bankrupt, this may mean that your data is transferred to new entities or third parties through which the business activities of Alfa-Zet Systems are carried out in whole or in part.

Alfa-Zet Systems will reasonably attempt to inform you in advance of the fact that Alfa-Zet Systems discloses your data to the mentioned third party, but you also acknowledge that this is not technically or commercially feasible under all circumstances.

Article 4 – Duration of Processing

The personal data are kept and processed by us for a period that is necessary in function of the purposes of processing and in function of the contractual relationship between Alfa-Zet Systems and you.

Article 5 – Your Rights

5.1. Right of access and inspection:

You have the right to take note of your personal data free of charge at any time, as well as the use we make of your personal data.

5.2. Right of rectification, deletion and limitation:

You are free to disclose or not disclose your personal data to Alfa-Zet Systems. In addition, you always have the right to request us to correct, supplement or delete your personal data. You acknowledge that refusing to disclose or requesting deletion of personal data makes certain services and products unavailable.

You may also ask to limit the processing of your Personal Data.

5.3. Right of objection:

You also have a right of objection to the processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons.

In addition, you always have the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes; in such a case, you do not need to give reasons.

5.4. Right to data portability:

You have the right to obtain your Personal Data processed by us in a structured, common and machine-readable form and/or to transfer them to other controllers.

5.5. Right to withdraw consent:

To the extent that processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent.

The processing of your Personal Data does not include profiling and you will not be subjected to automated decisions by us.

This does not affect an action before a civil court.

If you would suffer damage as a result of the processing of your personal data, you can bring an action for damages.

Article 6 – Security and Confidentiality

6.1.

We have developed security measures that are adapted on a technical and organizational level, to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, modification, unauthorized access or notification by mistake to third parties of collected personal data, as well as any other unauthorized processing of this data.

In no case can Alfa-Zet Systems be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from erroneous or unlawful use by a third party of personal data.

You must always comply with the security requirements, including by preventing any unauthorized access to your login and code. You are therefore solely responsible for the use made from the Website of your computer, IP address and your identification data, as well as their confidentiality.
